Contactless Business Solution Required In Response To Coronavirus Pandemic

 

A well-known car dealership in France, with over one hundred locations across the country, wanted an outdoor touch screen kiosk. 

 

They wanted this touch panel PC device to avoid direct physical contact between their employees and customers, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic. The outdoor kiosk was to be placed outdoors on a stand to allow normal business operations to go ahead. It would allow withdrawals and enable the return of car keys for purchases, leased vehicles or cars held for maintenance purposes.

The process works very simply. Let’s break it down.

 

  • A customer makes an appointment online or via the phone. The car dealership then sends the confirmation and a reminder the day before via text message with an access code. 

 

  • In case of car maintenance, the customer can validate their invoice, pay online and receive the code for the outdoor kiosk to access the car keys.

 

  • In case of a rental car, the customer is matched to a car and can pick up the keys from the outdoor kiosk using the access code received by phone. 

 

  • Once the car needs to be returned, the keys can easily be put back into the kiosk lockers and the invoice and payment are done online.
